trees.  Wetted down and immovable, it could easily be the cumulation of
countless autumns and winters, with such an abandoned forest having
nothing to clean it up.  Regardless, it probably houses a wide variety of
animals who have made it their home.  You observe this from afar, afraid
to get any closer for a more thorough examination, in case you would
disturb any of the wildlife within.  Whatever this mound is, caution is
advised for those undertaking any examination of it...

nobody is looking, you sneak inside, closing the opening silently behind
