A thief that classes gaining 1000 gold as a victory is not a very good thief.
Which implies that the amount you get back from having an item stolen is close to the amount which the thief pays.
It is more convenient for me to get the gold in the courthouse than anywhere else however, so it's a win for me.
Our fines should of been identical, as we stole the same item.
Yes, I screwed up. I was a little late to the auction house and didn't notice my hide had failed, I really should get amulets more often.
My bad, though I made nice fine gold (it almost covered my actual fine) so I can't complain.
Took me a second to realise that Sadikh had stolen it from me though (nice thinking), but as I'd done a who thief and checked who was pvp on (and seen him come in) it was easy enough to track down the culprit.
That's the main problem with stealing these days, you have to assume you'll get caught (and any cover steals will also get reported) so it's only worth stealing something you can sell for more.
