Seriously, what are you guys playing? I played T2T for about 11 years, and now that I quit I can't find other online games to play. All I have been playing are singleplayers (Fallout, Skyrim, etc), Age of Empires II:TC and stupid flash games. Is there any with the following traits?
1 - PK. Any player can attack any other player at will. No problem with levelcaps or safehavens like the courthouses in T2T;
2 - No forced alliance. Even within the same group, guild, faction, side, etc., players can kill each other. Consequences might be heavier, of course;
3 - Death hurts. Be it by losing exp, valuable items, stats, etc.;
4 - Can't be a pay-to-win. Either completely free or you pay once and have full access to its full content;
5 - Level cap. So the best player is the most skilled, not the one who spends more time in front of the computer.

allow me to provide you a summary. kalathen is locked up by us, with our key. because in order to lock a door back then, you had to have a key. you can also use keys to unlock the same door you locked.
combat ensues.
ARthlor unlocks the door from outside, enters, and locks the door which we previously locked with our key that can also be used to unlock a door.
4 rounds pass. kalathen's pussy gets wet as he envisions his totally retarded plan going to perfection. he is going to lock us up in the room for which we have the key. ITS SO FUCKING STUPID ITS BRILLIANT

here is a funny old log where kalathen (a hall of fame newbie if there ever was one) totally outsmarts me and blood. he very cleverly allows himself to get locked up by us and then he is going to very cleverly lock US in the room in which we already locked HIM. of course, well, we had the keys, because you have to have a key to lock a door and all, but still. anyways, his plan was going very fucking cleverly and to perfection. his backup of newbies arrives just in time for him to confidently let us know of our impending demise. 'Smile!' he giddily announces as the SWAT team arrives.
Then he dies one round later. Other than that slight hiccup, however, it was a very fucking sharp plan on his part, and one of the reason's he is a hall of flamer for sure.

I have to say I started out just fine and became... noob. :) All of a sudden everyone was with a mapper, full set of keys and a camoufalged buddy alt to stab you if you want to try anything... Also lost patience. Anyways. Kharaan rocks, as usual.

i started out great then became terrible. like jesus being born a grown man with a beard and a 12 inch tool, then reverting into a baby with no beard and a tiny 9 inch tool.
Yes, he was pretty bad. I always defended him by arguing that a lot of players (Rendor, Winnetou, etc) all started out quite terrible and went on to become a lot better. Alas, he let me down by staying consistently terrible.
i do want to add on a serious note that Aether was one of the worst players to ever participate in the 'power playing' portion of this MUD.
