Inside is the almost equally-vast 'courtyard' of Barad-dur, a flat plain more than a mile in both width and length. In the courtyard you count at least three army camps--but the dominating feature within is the incredibly tall and massive Tower of Barad-dur. It dwarfs all else, including seemingly even the mountains to its east. Surveying the courtyard, you notice constant movement of troops though you can't tell much about them from this distance.
