Without warning, Mirk stabs you from behind!

Pike starts to sway and chants kill, kill, kill! You take a cautious step

     back.

    The small town of Bree stands before you. Many travellers pass through

here going to and from the Shire. The road heads to the east, towards the

main street of Bree.

The Great East Road continues west.

The Greenway continues northwest and south.

You see the town of Bree to the east.

The sun shines brightly in the western sky.

The sky is brilliantly clear.

    The only obvious exits are south, northeast, west, north, northwest

and east.

and arrests your movement.  You turn to look into very bright blue eyes, 

which do not blink.



The Guard says: We don't allow your kind in here.  Surely you're

big enough to find some more challenging area to adventure in?

    To the west the land slopes gently down towards the valley of

the Brandywine, while to the east are the trees of the Chetwood,

the forest that covers the hills north of Bree.  Gentle plains

run off to the north and south, and the green ribbon of the

Greenway is visible to the west.  The entrance to the small town

of Archet lies here, nestled on the borders of the forest.

    This is the west end of the road that leads through Archet, a 

small town of Bree-land on the border of Chetwood.  The ground here 

is packed solid, having been trodden by both the townspeople and

travelers for many years.  To your north is a medium-sized building,

and to your south is a house.  The road continues to the east, and 

leads out of town to the west.

    The only obvious exits are north, out and east.
